How do you brand a city for tourism that always seems to be in the shadow of its bigger step-brother? Kansas City, Kansas (perennially confused with Kansas City, MO) needed its own identity to stand out and help potential visitors see the vibrancy, culture, and tourism opportunities. The existing brand in place for the CVB was generic, predictable, and didn’t have the uniqueness that KCK was looking for. We created a brand inspired by the colors and diversity of the community. The organic shapes suggest the ever-changing movement of the people and the flavor of the history and culture of KCK. KCK has offered authentic experiences, compelling history, and culinary adventures for many years, and we believe this new brand reflects just that.
